Top Districts for CTE 2023-24
This report lists the districts with the highest CTE Enrollments per Student in SY 2023-24 and the districts with the highest enrollment rates in each of the fourteen CTE career clusters. This data is retrieved from the two Tableau dashboards created by CSTA Washington to help educators understand what students are taking what CTE courses in Washington state:
While the following data on the top districts in CTE can be retrieved from these dashboards, it is challenging to do so. They are summarized in this report to make it easier for educators to understand the CTE enrollments in their organizations in the context of the leading CTE districts in Washington state.
In the tables below, CTE Student Population refers to the number of students in grades 6-12 who attend a school with at least one CTE course.
When looking at the data below, please note that CTE Enrollments Per Student is 1.25 statewide in 2023-24.

Top 5 Districts CTE Enrollments Per Career Cluster
The following tables list the top 5 districts in each career cluster based on the CTE enrollment rate in that career cluster. A district must have at least 500 students in grades 6-12 to qualify for these career cluster lists.
In fall 2024, Advance CTE released a new version of the National Career Clusters ® Framework designed to serve as a bridge between education and work and a central building block for consistently designed and high-quality CTE programs. The framework specifies 14 career clusters. To help educators better interpret each of the career cluster tables, the following lists each career cluster, the percentage of CTE enrollments in that cluster, and the cluster enrollments per 1000 students for that cluster in Washington in SY 2023-24.
