Jenny is the 2025-2026 CSTA Washington Vice-President of the Coastal/Peninsula region ESDs (113, 114, 189). She enjoys connecting with other passionate educators at conferences and communities of practice, especially when those connections lead to benefits for her students and teachers such as connection to industry and dual credit. She aims to encourage more participation and collaboration in this new region. She has been a high school STEAM educator in Washington state since 2000. She is dedicated to promoting equity and diversity in her classroom, FBLA chapter, and district. Her commitment to equity led her to become a CSTA Impact Fellow and an Amazon Future Engineer Teacher Ambassador. She now splits her time between the classroom at Sehome High and supporting all the CTE teachers in Bellingham Public Schools as the CTE TOSA. Jenny firmly believes that computer science education is a powerful tool for positive change. She enjoys introducing coding with game design to combine art, technology, and problem-solving. Her students also design and create physical objects using tools like vinyl cutters, laser cutters, and microcontrollers in her maker space.
