2026 PK-12 CS Standards: Value-Add Interactive Web Version
This is the seventh in a series of posts about the 2026 PK-12 CS standards. For the full list of articles in this series, see the list at the bottom of this post.

The 2026 PK-12 CS Standards provide a robust interactive web version that adds considerable content, functionality, and flexibility to the official print/pdf version.
The PDF and printed version of the standards contain the standards themselves, grade level, concept and sub-concept information, boundary statements, practice alignments, and disposition alignments. The interactive web version adds:
- Implementation examples
- Interdisciplinary connections
- Progressions to prior and future standards across grade levels
- Pop up links to glossary terms
The following compares the PDF/printed version and the interactive web version of the 2nd grade standard: E2-ALG-PS-01: Create an algorithm that includes sequence, events, and iteration to solve a problem or express an idea

The web version also provides free-text search and complex filtering of the 331 standards. Filters include: foundational/specialty, grade-level, specialty subject and level, foundational concept, practice, disposition, type of implementation example, type of interdisciplinary connection, artificial intelligence related.
Further, once the relevant list of standards have been identified, one can download either a PDF or CSV of all the data from selected standards for further use.
While other modern standards initiatives also provide online search tools and implementation resources, the interactive web version is central to the CSTA design to enable flexible implementation by a wide variety of educational organizations. The print document provides the stable core content; the website supplies the classroom-facing interpretation and content that can continue to grow and improve.
